Yvoné Nelson appointed new Academic Program Coordinator
September 14, 2021
We have a new Academic Program Coordinator, Yvoné Nelson.
Yvoné arrived at UNM in January of 2013 where she began her career in the School of Engineering with the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Department. She spent six and half years serving as an Academic Advisor to the ECE undergraduate and graduate students.
In August of 2021, she transitioned to the role of Academic Program Coordinator serving both the Nanoscience & Microsystems Engineering (NSME) and Biomedical Engineering (BME) Programs. She especially enjoys working in the background helping students accomplish their goals.
When she’s not at UNM, she loves spending quality time with family and friends, fishing at the San Juan River, and just being outside enjoying nature.
