Gary Oppedahl

On December 2, 2016, students in the NSME-BME-CBE Cohort Seminar welcomed guest speaker Gary Oppedahl. Gary may hold the title of our City’s Economic Development Director, but is a serial entrepreneur. Anyone can see that by looking at his resume. But those who know him personally understand that he is also an entrepreneur and visionary by nature, not just by profession. His belief in our city’s ability to attain economic prosperity, his work to create an environment supportive of entrepreneurs and his desire to instill hope in all of our residents has proven nothing short of transformational for Albuquerque. Above all else, Gary is passionate about Albuquerque’s fast-growing innovation district (or entrepreneurial ecosystem) and the entrepreneurial mindset that is rapidly taking hold in our community. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Gary for his inspirational presentation!
